Cystic fibrosis is one of the most common
inherited health problems and effects white people more often than other races. Occurring, equally between males and females. It is
caused by a gene defect the affects the pancreas, sweat glands, respiratory, and digestive systems.
Malnutrition may result because a lack of needed digestive enzymes
means food nutrients are not absorbed well. People with cystic
fibrosis also lose lots of salt thru their sweat glands. Other signs of CF are
infertility, greasy-bad smelling stools, and salty skin.
